Today I’d like to share what’s probably the most impressive Google Chrome extension I’ve ever seen.
Two clever guys named David Fankhauser and Benjamin Grössing have created Wurstify, an extension for adding a ‘Wurst’ beard to every single image on the internet that has a face in it. Pointless, yes. Fun, definitely!
The extension itself seems to make use of some clever face detection algorithms for plotting beards of varying thicknesses on faces. I don’t know how the authors of the extension are going to handle the masses of traffic coming to their servers when this has a big user base, but for now let’s just enjoy this tool whilst it lasts.
The authors of the extension claim you can ‘wurstify’ Facebook Friends, News Photos, or even the whole Web (even the darkest corners of it) – lol
There’s not much more to say about this extension, expect go download it from the official chrome extension store and start ‘wurstifying’ your favourite websites!
